Blue Ridge Care Celebrates Hope Campus Ribbon-Cutting with Regional Partners

Winchester, Va. — Blue Ridge Care, in partnership with the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber, celebrated the official ribbon-cutting of its new Hope Campus on Thursday, June 11, marking a major milestone in the organization’s 45-year evolution and continued investment in community care.

The event brought together elected officials, first responders, community leaders, corporate partners, donors, and team members to recognize the opening of a campus designed to expand access, strengthen care coordination, and better serve residents across the region. Attendees also heard remarks from Cynthia Schneider, CEO of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber; City of Winchester Mayor Les Veach; and a participant from the Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), underscoring the strong community partnerships.

The Hope Campus reflects Blue Ridge Care’s evolution from a hospice-focused organization to hospice and much more—an integrated continuum of services, including its PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), Center for Hope & Healing, Supportive Care program, and Volunteer Services. Together, these offerings enable a more connected, person-centered approach that supports individuals earlier and throughout their care journey.

“We began 45 years ago with a single focus, hospice care, but have evolved based on what our community needs,” said Jason Parsons, President and CEO of Blue Ridge Care. “Today, the Hope Campus represents who we are and where we are going: an integrated continuum of care that allows us to reach people earlier, support them longer, and ensure no one falls through the gaps. This is about building a more connected system of care for our community and imagining what care can and should look like.”

Blue Ridge Care has invested $14.5 million into the Hope Campus, comprised of a 24,140-square-foot building, includes the building purchase, PACE program development, Center for Hope & Healing, and operational startup. Approximately 19,110 square feet is dedicated to Blue Ridge Care services, with nearly 15,000 square feet focused specifically on participants within the PACE center.

The Hope Campus represents not only a significant investment in healthcare access, but also in the regional workforce. To date, 60 new jobs have been created through the Hope Campus and PACE program, with projected growth to 72 team members within five years.

The campus also serves as a hub for collaboration, including partnerships with organizations such as Access Independence, which supports individuals in living fully and independently.

“The Hope Campus reflects our commitment to access, connection, and caring for our community in new and better ways,” Parsons added. “And this is just the start.”
