When life becomes more complicated, knowing where to turn can make all the difference.
Blue Ridge Care is here for you.
We’re here to answer questions, provide guidance, and support patients and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. Whether help is needed today or months from now, our team is just a phone call away.
Recently, Blue Ridge Care President and CEO Jason Parsons and Chief Medical Officer for Hospice, Dr. Sonja Richmond, joined Good Morning Washington to discuss the organization’s 45-year legacy, our vision for the future of healthcare, and an important message for patients and families across our region: you don’t have to navigate serious illness alone.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
No matter where you are in your healthcare journey, you don’t have to face it alone.
Healthcare can be overwhelming. Questions arise. Decisions feel difficult. Families often aren’t sure where to turn, what services are available, or whether it’s the right time to seek additional support.
At Blue Ridge Care, we want people to know that reaching out is always okay. You do not need to have all the answers before you call. In fact, most people don’t.
Whether you are caring for a loved one, experiencing changes in your own health, or simply trying to understand what options may be available in the future, our team is here to listen, answer questions, and help guide you forward.
The Right Time To Reach Out
One of the most common things we hear from patients and families is, “We wish we had called sooner.”
Many people aren’t sure when the right time is to call. That’s why we encourage individuals and families to reach out early. When someone calls, they will speak with a compassionate member of our team who will listen, provide information, and discuss possible next steps. There is no pressure and no obligation.
Our team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Many people are also surprised to learn that a physician referral is not required to start the conversation. Patients, family members, caregivers, friends, and loved ones can contact Blue Ridge Care directly.
If Blue Ridge Care is not the right fit for a particular situation, we will help connect individuals with other trusted community resources whenever possible.
Here Today, And Here Tomorrow
Sometimes families are ready for support immediately. Other times, our services may not be needed yet.
That’s okay.
For those who are not yet ready for care, Blue Ridge Care can remain a resource. We can stay connected, provide guidance, check in over time, and help families recognize when additional support may become beneficial to improving the patient’s quality of life.
