Each year, our community gathers around a powerful sight: more than 800 American flags standing in formation — each flag honoring a veteran, first responder, or local hero, and each one telling a story.
This Memorial Day weekend, for the sixth consecutive year, The Rotary Club of Winchester Virginia and Navy Federal Credit Union present Healing Field of Honor.
We’re proud to share that Blue Ridge Care is the primary beneficiary for the 2026 Healing Field of Honor, with proceeds supporting the Blue Ridge Care Veterans Program, alongside the Frederick County Law Enforcement Foundation.

How Your Support Helps Blue Ridge Care
Funds raised will help provide specialized care and services for the veterans we serve, recognizing their service and the unique experiences that shape their life’s journey.
Veterans and their families often carry the weight of trauma, loss, and complex life experiences. Our team members deliver care and services with the utmost respect, dignity, and understanding. Through veteran‑to‑veteran connections, our trained volunteers in the Veterans Program provide peer companionship rooted in shared service, creating space for healing, legacy‑centered reflection, and meaningful recognition. We also celebrate a veteran’s service through personalized recognition ceremonies, where a fellow veteran presents a handmade quilt, certificate, and pin as an expression of gratitude, connection, and community at life’s most meaningful moments.
We are grateful to the Winchester Rotary, its members, and everyone else in our community who generously support our mission.
