Jason Parsons is the President and CEO of Blue Ridge Care, overseeing a transformative era for the organization’s comprehensive healthcare services. As President and CEO, Parsons helms an organization of 400 team members delivering care to more than 2,102 individuals – and their families – every year across the Shenandoah Valley and Northern Virginia. Parsons leads Blue Ridge Care with a clear focus on strategic growth and operational excellence, rooted in the organization’s purpose – Community, Quality, and Access. Under his leadership, Blue Ridge Care continues to fulfill its founding purpose of serving and meeting the needs of the community with a commitment to quality care.

During his tenure as CEO, Blue Ridge Care opened its Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and led an organizational restructuring and unified brand from Blue Ridge Hospice to Blue Ridge Care, setting the stage to build an integrated system of care for the chronically and seriously ill by leveraging Blue Ridge’s expertise in providing complex care at home.

Drawing on over a decade of experience in hospice care and community leadership, Parsons has expanded Blue Ridge Care’s hospice services into Loudoun County, added palliative care services, and led a comprehensive strategic planning process focusing on achieving the highest levels of patient and family satisfaction, empowering caregivers, integrating clinical technologies and telehealth, and creating additional value-based healthcare services. Parsons also helped create The National PACE MSO, joining like-minded PACE organizations to achieve scale and innovation to better serve seniors.

These initiatives reflect Parsons’ vision of accessible, high-quality care that meets the evolving needs of the community and are crucial efforts in positioning Blue Ridge Care as a leader in the healthcare sector while upholding the highest standards of care and service excellence.

Parsons is a native of West Virginia and is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he was a two-time student body president. Parsons was appointed by WV Governor Joe Manchin to the West Virginia Workforce Investment Council and was named by Manchin as a Distinguished Mountaineer, one of West Virginia’s highest civilian honors.

Prior to joining Blue Ridge Care, he served in key roles in public affairs, philanthropy, and nonprofit management.
